Yup, it’s time for the 3rd annual Hudson Valley Harvest Festival. This celebration of all things agricultural takes place at the Ulster County Fairgrounds, in New Paltz. Each year it gets a little larger, with a focus on local farms, arts and crafts, and family fun. And contests. Feeling competitive?
Pick up you entry forms on the web site, then whip up your best apple pie, cupcakes or maybe some pickles or jam. There’s also a photo contest, which is only fitting for a very photogenic area.
I love harvest season, so I’m hoping this festival will continue to attract people and turn into something big. Proceeds are funneled back into community based programs provided by Family of Woodstock, Inc. and Cornell Cooperative Extension Ulster County, two 501 (c)3 Not-for-Profit agencies serving Ulster County.
When: Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21
Where: The Ulster County Fairgrounds located at 249 Libertyville Rd. in New Paltz, NY.
