I like the look of a small water garden and I enjoy trying out aquatic plants like papyrus and corkscrew rush. What I don’t enjoy is more garden maintenance and a stagnant water garden can be a garden chore screaming for attention. My work around has been to shade my water garden and inhibit the growth of algae. In this podcast I talk about 2 tiny miracle plants, duck weed (Lemna) and fairy moss (Azolla), that saved me from the whir of a filter and the endless scooping of sheet algae. Listen in.
