I’ve been working on a series of webinars with local public gardens called Big Ideas for Small Spaces. The intent was to talk with the gardeners about the challenges they face keeping a large scale garden looking awesome and the lessons they learned along the way that they took home to their own gardens – and that we can, too.
It was an even better experience than I had anticipated and I hope you’ll enjoy seeing the videos in the series, starting today with The Vanderbilt Historic Estate in Hyde Park, NY. Two volunteers from the Vanderbilt Garden Association gave me a glimpse behind the ongoing restoration efforts and chatted with me about what worked and what didn’t. I had no idea the shape the gardens were in when this group was first started. I’ve only seen it looking fabulous.
Take a peek yourself, and then make a date to see the gardens in person.
A huge thank you to:
The F.W. Vanderbilt Garden Association, especially Sue Williams, Suzanne Gillespie, and Naomi Garrel.
